The visit to the Talosa winery was very interesting. The organization was impeccable: after a quick tour of the cellar's barrels and a brief description of the aging of the wine, we had a tasting of 5 wines from the farm, led by the sommelier. The tasting, accompanied by Tuscan cold cuts and croutons, lasted about an hour. Excellent value for money. Visit recommended for all those people who want to taste good red wine in the heart of Montepulciano by learning to recognize the peculiarities and differences of the different types of red wine. Overall rating: 9/10
Sure, everyone can cook noodles, but learning how to do italian pasta was completely different. The classes took about half a day to get everyone the experiences very well coached how to do a perfect pappardelle, gnocchi, antipaste, meat and dessert. In the end all that work was released by the enjoyment of this gourmet dishes and also a tasting how to combine with the right flavor of wine each course. After all, Giacomo sent us the recipies and now we can feel italian flair each time we like to at home. Our suggestion, just do it! :-)
Fantastic afternoon out, seeing some lovely parts of Montepulciano. For the most the roads were quiet with plenty of room to cycle, but there were a couple of roads at the very beginning of the ride which were busy and little room for cycles. Mainly at the bottom of the town. The guys who run the tour were amazingly friendly and helpful. We were very late getting back but they hung around and greeted us with a smile. The set up is fantastic. Such a great idea.
Super well organized. All very friendly. Good equipment and really worthwhile. Would go again in a heartbeat. The Matteo (Casagori) winery is highly recommended. Good wine, snacks and expert advice.
Better than expected! The tour isn´t that big but it was really okay!
