1. Tambopata Peruvian Amazon Jungle for Three Days/Two Nights

Day One: Puerto Maldonado to the Lodge. Be collected from the airport or bus station and taken to the port. Journey in a boat for an hour to the lodge. Be welcomed with refreshing fruit juice from the region and relax in your room. In the afternoon, visit Monkey Island across the Madre de Dios River. Find out about the different species of monkeys and have the opportunity to feed them. At night, search for a caiman with your flashlight. They are generally located on the banks of the Madre de Dios River. With luck you might see the capybara, which is the world's largest rodent. It can weigh 60 kilograms so is an impressive relative of the Peruvian cuy (guinea pig). Enjoy dinner and a good sleep back at the lodge.  Day 2: Lake Sandoval.  After an early breakfast, take a short walk (three kilometers/two miles) to Lake Sandoval, which is a piranha habitat; one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve. Take a rowing boat with the guide to appreciate the many different species of birds and monkeys including hoatzin, cormorant, jacanas, heron, eagles, howler monkey, squirrel monkey, black capuchin, tamarins, and sloths. If you are lucky, you will meet a family of giant river otters, each at almost two meters long, who are in danger of extinction. Perhaps you will see the largest alligator ever recorded at over four meters long. Enjoy a typical lunch at the lodge. In the evening, take a night walk to appreciate the diversity of insects, amphibians, reptiles, and other nocturnal animals here. Have dinner and another night at the lodge.  Day 3: Return to Puerto Maldonado.  Get up early for a pre-breakfast activity of a canopy walk. See the rainforest from the different perspective at 30 meters high with panoramic views of the Rio Madre de Dios. From the platforms you can observe the different species of birds including toucans and macaws. Return up the river to Puerto Maldonado. Here you will be transported to the airport for your flight to Lima or Cusco or transported to the bus terminal.

2. Puerto Maldonado: 4-Day Tambopata Rainforest Tour

Day 1: Start the tour with pickup from Puerto Maldonado Airport. Your guide will be waiting for you right in front of the exit with a sign with your name on it so you can find them easily. After a short office visit, head to the river where a boat will be awaiting you to take you to the lodge. Check in to your bungalow then set off for your first jungle tour. Walk for about 2 kilometers through the jungle searching for monkeys, brown agoutis, and butterflies as you learn about the trees and plants which grow there. When it gets dark, begin your night adventure on the river to go in search of caimans and capybaras. Enjoy this exciting tour with the opportunity to learn all about the animals and take pictures.  Day 2: On the next day, visit Lake Sandoval which is located in the heart of Tambopata National Reserve. Here, observe the many bird species, caimans, turtles, monkeys, and giant otters that live here. Return back to your accommodation for a short rest before embarking on your next night activity. Later, head into the rainforest at night, following your guide through the dark jungle in search of night monkeys, tarantulas, frogs, insects, and other nocturnal animals.  Day 3: On day 3, embark on a kayaking adventure, heading downstream to the Monkey Island. When you land on the island, go for a walk searching for monkeys and observe them in their native environment. Enjoy the opportunity to feed and take pictures with them. After lunch, visit a local indigenous family and learn about their culture and way of life.  Day 4: Start your final day pretty early and head to the clay lick to see the parakeets, parrots and 2 species of small macaws. On the way back, search for sloths. After breakfast, your guide will take you to the perfect spot for bird watching and take you for piranha sport fishing. By around 11 AM, head back to the main office from where you will be taken to the airport or bus station and your tour concludes.

Pick up from accommodation in Puerto Maldonado and then continue to the Capitanía port. Journey in a boat for an hour to the lodge .The adventure starts by reaching a tower and stairway that ascends to the treetops where an unforgettable experience through hanging bridges that cross the tops of the large trees of the low Amazon jungle, from where you can see colorful species of animals that normally cannot be seen from the ground. After enjoying the walk through the Canopy bridge, we will start with the activity of the zip line, be able to slide down the 190 meter long zip line, at the other end the assistant will receive you to help you cross another small 100m bridge. and return by another 190 m long line shot to the starting point. After leaving all the equipment we return to the Lodge for lunch. The kayak activity starts from the Lodge, we will take the kayaks and the oars and after putting on the life jackets we will board the boat and then start the activity and enjoy this adventure, for your safety there will always be a boat that will follow the group accompanying you down the river A good opportunity to bathe in the waters of Madre de Dios and to de-stress from our activities in the city. Reach the monkey island, on this island we can find a group of Capuchin monkeys, Black Monkey (Cebus apella), White Monkey (Cebus albifrons), which are used to humans and that is why it is It is possible to get close to them, feed them and see their coexistence between different species. It is a nice experience, after being with the monkeys we return to the Lodge and return to Puerto Maldonado.

4. From Puerto Maldonado: Tambopata National Reserve 3-Day Tour

Day 1: Puerto Maldonado – Jungle Lodge – Caiman Area You will be welcome at the airport or bus station once you arrive in Peru’s biodiversity capital (Puerto Maldonado). After meeting your team, you will go to the port boat to board a motorized riverboat. Then you will navigate on the Madre de Dios River for 1 hour approximately before arriving at the Tambopata reserve zone. There you will be welcomed by our adventure staff and get an introduction to our lodge lands. Then your guide will organize the bungalow for your stay. Then, you can discover the lodge, or if you prefer, you can take some time to rest while your chef will be preparing your lunch with some local products. After a satisfying lunch, the group will convene to embark on an adventure to Monkey Island, situated just in front of the lodge. To reach the island, you'll cross the river accompanied by your tour guide, who will lead you on a fascinating tour. Along the way, you'll encounter a variety of monkeys indigenous to the area, as well as learn about the lush jungle and its native plants and trees. Upon returning to the lodge, you'll have time to relax and prepare for an unforgettable evening. At around 7:00 pm, your group will embark on a Caiman Safari with your guide. As you navigate the river, you'll be treated to glimpses of the vibrant nightlife along the riverbank. Finally, you'll return to the lodge for a delicious dinner, during which you can discuss plans for the following day. Day 2: Lodge – Sandoval Lake and Jungle Hike You will wake up around 6:00 am. Then you will enjoy our breakfast and get the last details from our guide for the day. After breakfast, you will walk to Sandoval Lake. Then you have a hike inside of Tambopata National Reserve (Sandoval Lake). Here you will have the chance to see an exciting diversity of animals – snakes, howlers, and hundreds of birds. Once you are at the Sandoval Lake, you will get into a smaller rowing boat, and, with our guide and staff, you’ll go in search of the giant otters. Also waiting for you to discover are caiman, piranhas, snakes, tapirs, turtles, cormorants, herons and of course lots of birds. Then you will go back to your lodge, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the sunset panoramas of the Jungle. If you still have energy left after dark, why not embark on an exciting adventure with your guide to explore the nocturnal wildlife? You can discover a variety of fascinating creatures such as insects, capybaras, and other nocturnal animals, while gaining knowledge about their behaviors and habitats under the stars. Then you finish the day with a delicious dinner. Day 3: Jungle activities – Puerto Maldonado After waking up, you will enjoy breakfast and get ready to walk near your lodge, and enjoy the views from lookouts (canopy). if you are lucky, you will see different animals like snakes, parrots, monkeys, and others. Then you will get ready and take a boat, and your transfer will take you back to Puerto Maldonado.

Day1 - Arrival in Puerto Maldonado - Monkey’s Island - Caiman Spotting. Upon arrival at airport or bus station in Puerto Maldonado, we will meet you and transfer you to our office to make a registration. Take our motor boat along the Madre de Dios River for approximately 40 minutes to the lodge. A cool welcome drink awaits you. After a well-deserved lunch, visit to Monkey Island, we will be able appreciate a great diversity of monkeys Return to the lodge and after dinner a stream through the Madre de Dios River in search of the Jungle caimans.. Day 2 - Sandoval Lake After a great breakfast, take the boat to get to the control of Tambopata National Reserve Zone, after 1 and half hour walking through the rainforest be surrounded by immense ancient trees and entangled vines; see multihued flower and fauna including: Giant Otters, birds, coloured butterflies, turtles, and variety of fish. We will spend few hours in canoe on this one of the most beautiful lakes in region. After lunch, the adventure starts by reaching a tower and stairway that ascends to the treetops where a platform that marks the start of the zip-line almost 200mts long, the breath taking views are only matched by the excitement of overcoming our fears and the adrenaline that courses through us as we leap off the platform supported by the high security harnesses that connect us to the zip- line cable to a platform 27mts high. Rest of the day to rest and enjoy the sound and relaxing Jungle. Night at the lodge. Day 3 - Native Family And Rustic Fishing Set course downstream for an hour for the Native Community . The Project “Rescuing Cultural Values“, working with families who will show us the culture of their ancestors, their language and customs, clothing and dances. By the afternoon we have time to do rustic fishing in Madre de Dios river, where with some luck we’ll have chance to catch some species like pictus cat fish, small mouth, armoured cat fish and red eye piranha. Back to the lodge for dinner. Night at the lodge. Day 4 - Parakeet’s Clay Lick – Puerto Maldonado Very early in the morning, leave the lodge to reach the Parrots and parakeets salte licks. Early each day, they come to eat rich clay that provides them with the salts and minerals necessary to metabolize and neutralize the toxins and acids of the flowers, fruits, and seeds upon which they feed. We will return to the lodge around 7am for breakfast and take our boat back to Puerto Maldonado, our boat departures at 10:30am. Follow by transfer to airport or bus station. Perhaps we will have an encounter with the giant otter family (almost two meters long) that is in danger of extinction and the largest recorded alligators of more than 4 meters long, return to the Lodge to enjoy typical lunch. At night we will have a walk where we will be able to appreciate the diversity of species of insects, amphibians, reptiles and other nocturnal animals. – dinner and rest day 3 from 5:30 am in the morning we will take a short walk through the Canopy Walk-Way, over 30 meters high, which will allow us to appreciate nature from the highest possible, we will also have a panoramic view of the Madre de God. From the platforms we will observe different species of birds such as toucans, macaws, tanagers, orioles, it will be a wonderful experience. DAY 1: Reception at the airport or at the bus terminal and transfer to the Monte Amazónico office for the corresponding records. In the event that you have large suitcases, we suggest you repack and take only what is necessary. Transfer by bus to our destination for approximately 2 hours until reaching the banks of the Tambopata River. In this place we will take a boat to the Lodge "Monte amazónico - Tambopata". Welcome and delivery of rooms, Lunch. In the afternoon, we will do an introductory walk to the tropical jungle where we will have the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat such as amphibians, mammals, reptiles and wonderful insects, among others. DAY 2 We woke up very early, at 4:30 a.m., to leave for the largest macaw clay lick in the world, the COLLPA CHUNCHO, on a trip of approximately 1:30 hours, by boat, on the way we will have the incredible opportunity to see some species such as ronsocos, which are the largest rodents in the world, sachavacas, and you can even see the most beautiful South American feline, the jaguar. Once we arrive at the macaw colony we will see hundreds of parrots of different species that come to eat clay from the wall adjacent to the river. We will make ourselves comfortable in our chairs to wait for one of the most beautiful natural spectacles of birds in the world to begin. Parrots are followed by the 3 most colorful species of macaws in the Americas, the red and green ones, plus the blue and yellow ones, they come together to eat clay necessary in their daily diet and eliminate toxins. On a good active day you will be able to see hundreds of these wonderful animals flying above you. An experience for a lifetime. After a good breakfast, our boat will take us to the transport back to Puerto Maldonado and transfer for 1 hour by boat to Monte Amazónico Lodge - Lake Sandoval and installation in their respective rooms. The BEST highlight of our Peru vacation. Everything from airport pick-up, boat ride to the lodge and the activities were well planned. Our guide Franklin was awesome and we had so much fun. Our flight to Puerto Maldonado was delayed due to Lima airport incident but the team was very accommodating, planned the activities we missed during the next 2 days. The paradise amazonas lodge is blissful and well maintained. We are definitely coming back for another amazon visit with them.

truly a magical experience! the guides were great (Eddie, Alda, etc)! food was good every time. The sleeping accommodations were better than expected. The time between excursions were great. I left with so many beautiful photos, memories, and new friends from the experience. would HIGHLY recommend! especially as a solo female traveler. do it. you won't regret it.

The lodging is good, very homemade and rich food. Very friendly staff treatment. They comply with everything offered and seek to give you comfort.
