Giverny: Monet's Garden Half-Day Tour from Paris
- Small group
- Skip the line through a separate entrance
- Duration: 5 hours
We felt devoting a half-day to visiting Giverny would be a good time investment. Boy, was it, especially with the expert (and delightful) guidance of Claire, our host. From the prompt pick up to the spot-on drop off, it was a great day. She was always trying to make our experience as rich as possible, including making sure we were the first group there and got our own 13 seconds of private viewing (it really made a difference as the crowds got bigger and bigger). We highly recommend this tour; we got what we paid for (and more).
A clever, friendly and and a young man with much knowledge was our guide on this tour. A positive experience! He drove securely both back and forth, and stuck to the time table, despite heavy weekend traffic into Paris in the evening. We liked having a couple of hours for ourselves in the garden, taking pictures, and also time in the gift shop afterwards! The only thing to criticise from my point of view was the price for my granddaughter. She is only 10 years old, and I had to pay full adult price for her. That’s way too high!
Perfect half day trip to discover Monet’s gardens and home. I thought there might be some paintings, but only the inspiration. The gardens were magnificent, even in early October. Please note that while the meeting place is only 500ft from the Arc De Triumph, you cannot see it from the circle, so make sure you have the right street.
Jean Phillip lead the perfect tour to Giverny. He is an excellent driver, has a great sensoof humor, and made the trip to Monet’s Garden e little extra special. I can’t remember a more enjoyable time spent on a tour like this! Wonderful!
The tour guide Elias was very knowledgeable and allowed plenty time for us to see the gardens at our own pace. He was very friendly. We only had 6 in our group and that was nice.
