Full description
Begin the evening on the banks of the Colorado River, just 2 miles north of Moab, Utah. Savor a delicious cowboy-style Dutch oven dinner in a dining room overlooking the water. After dinner, climb aboard a flat-bottomed boat and begin your river adventure. A knowledgeable and entertaining guide will point out things of interest and ignite your imagination. Once darkness settles in, the formal part of the evening begins when 40,000 watts of natural light illuminate the canyon wall. Watch as lights, shadows, music, and narration make the stories of the canyon's formation, creation, and history come to life on the walls above the river - as learned from the early settlers of the area (the Catholic conquistadors, Native Americans, and Mormon pioneers). This Sound and Light Show is a not-to-be-missed unique experience and a great end to a perfect day in Moab.

The dinner and 1st hour of the show were very good. I do not recommend the 2nd half. It was just a spotlight shining on rocks that you already had seen with a prerecorded message and songs. The dialogue and songs going along with it was interesting at times. However the 1st hour was very entertaining and fun. I would attend again though.

After a long day at Canyonlands NP, we spent the evening learning some history of the area. VERY friendly staff - everyone was super helpful and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed being there. Very good food (there's a bunch of it). Beautiful scenery. Even my kids - 15 & 12 - enjoyed the ride.

I highly recommend this tour! Dinner was as expected when serving 100 people. The staff was super friendly and there is a bar, dinner was buffet style and all you can eat. The boat ride on the Colorado was very informative and if you enjoy learning more about the history of this area you would enjoy it! The time went by quickly! Tammy was a great narrator and enjoyed her stories of growing up in the area. The Stars! What a way to view the open sky and constellation! When they played This is My Country it moved me to tears! So proud!
