Around lunchtime, it's time to move on from Paracas to Huacachina, a natural oasis located in the Ica Desert, home to the biggest sand dunes in South America. Enjoy some free time here. Explore and have lunch (at your own expense) in one of the local restaurants around the oasis. Following lunch, it will be time for 2 hours of exhilarating dune buggy rides and sandboarding. Dune buggy up the sand dunes and sandboard down these giant hills of sand, a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the only natural desert oasis in South America. In the evening, board your bus back to Lima. Once onboard, sit back and relax on the comfortable seats while you enjoy a movie on board. You will later be dropped off directly at your hotel/hostel upon arrival in Lima.

In Miraflores, you'll learn about La Huaca Pucllana and Itchma, the pre-Inca civilization that existed in the area from around 300 to 700 A.D. Visit the wonderful Plaza San Martin, made to commemorate 100 years of Peruvian independence. It has a fascinating statue of Peru’s liberator that you can take photos with. Then see the Plaza de Armas, where you can admire impressive buildings such as the presidential palace and city hall. Afterwards, explore the San Francisco Monastery and its catacombs. Then, see Miraflores: Huaca Pucllana pre-Inca temple, The Love Park, Barranco: Murals, pittoresque old mansions, The Bridge of Sighs and San Isidro: The Olive Park.

The meeting point is at “Terrua” coffee shop; the baristas are going to share with us their great passion for Peruvian coffee, this small taste is recommended for everybody. After coffee, there is a 15 minutes walk. The first stop is going to be in a small local restaurant to try “Chicharrones”, delicious traditional pork sandwich. Then is time for something sweet. Our friends from “Lucas”, a small local bakery, are in charge of making us try some deserts. Next stop is the local market to see some local products and try some different fruits The most popular Peruvian dish is included on this adventure! at "Maraparte" ceviche bar will prepare us a delicious ceviche, made of marinated fish in lemon juice accompanied by onion, corn, chili, etc. Here you can also try Chilcano, a long drink made with Pisco. On the way back to Terrua there is one last stop for churros in Manolo´s.
