We really enjoyed this tour, and our guide Gina was very good and enjoyable to be with for the 2-3 hour tour. It's a walking tour, but it's very easy walking, punctuated by frequent stops and opportunities to sit down. The tour was a good chance for us to see South Beach, as we were first timers to the area. So we enjoyed the historic architecture and the beachy ambience. Of course this is a culinary tour, so food and drink are involved. And to that point, our initial meeting place was a restaurant where we all introduced ourselves (around 12-15 people on our tour as I recall), and enjoyed a popular drink from Colombia (a most interesting combo of beer and orange cream soda - quite better than what you might think), as well as a Colombian inspired empanada, and the most amazing ceviche we've ever had, which was said to be a Peruvian preparation. We made three more stops for food, and keep in mind these are all what you would think of as apps or small plates, and a gelato dessert stop.
This was a wonderful tour and great introduction to Miami / Little Havana. Our guide was awesome, it was fast paced so it was never boring. But not too fast that we couldn't keep up. We went to one bar and had a half hour there to drink our mojitos, which was perfect. The tour ended up being about 3 hours long so don't plan anything immediately afterwards. All the food was great. Also, I am a vegetarian and they were able to easily accommodate me. Thanks again!
lana was lovely and very in tune with the culture I loved that, I am Puerto Rican first time in miami and I could relate so well and her stories were great . she was so polite loved her! the food was amazing the drinks were great! loved little Havana !! literally still sitting at a bar on calle 8 and already this coming about coming back!
This is everything described and more. Our guide Jennifer was extremely knowledgeable and relatable. Each venue was interesting is so many different ways. There is HEAPS of food so arrive hungry! Don’t doubt doing this - it’s the best thing we did on our trip.
We did the tour with Robyn and she was amazing. She really helped us understand the community and people’s stories. The food is really great but the guide and the stories are what make the whole experience. Definitely worth it.
