Upon booking, I'd read the negative and positive reviews. I'd paid more attention to the negative reviews because usually those are the most accurate descriptions. Having said this, Fabio was a badass guide. The history lesson on the way was very informative. There was a total of 8 of us for this trip. The trail was very easy to follow. Steep but easy to follow. We worked our way up to 13,900ish feet. I was really hoping to get to 14k but clouds started rolling in, and we had to turn back. Besides, we'd agreed to that designated point. Our group was very spread out depending on climbing strength/abilities, but everybody was always within eyesight. At no point did I feel concerned. The hike lasted about 3 hours and it was an out and back of about 1.25 miles for a total of 2.5 miles. This might seem very little, but, trust me, it's just right for a couple first timers. We hiked about 900 feet of elevation. STRONGLY RECOMMEND FABIO. STRONGLY.

An incredible experience overall! The views from the top of the summit and the surrounding lakes are a tunning and the guides were really nice and helpful. Not for the faint-hearted! We spent around 7 hours hiking overall and some parts require a near vertical climb up the rock face. The way down is very sandy and slippery. However if you enjoy a challenge and love nature I highly recommend!

I had a fantastic experience with Mauricio that I will never forget. He was patient and encouraging in guiding me to the summit of Orizaba while making sure I was safe and not experiencing altitude sickness. Keep in mind that this is a VERY challenging experience due to the high altitude, and it shouldn't be attempted without acclimatizing through other high altitude hikes

We had a really great experience climbing the summit of the nevado de toluca. Kind guides with a lot of experience. It was about 4 hours to the top and 3 hours down and we saw amazing views. The last bit contains some steep parts, but just being in a good shape is sufficient.

Magnificent experience. Well organized, with enough time to reach the summit. Fernando was a Great guy.

Nice tour with a beautiful landscape and a very friendly guide.
