Covid-19 Update

Due to health and safety regulations, this itinerary may change. See Know before you go for the latest updates.

Take in the 3 most culturally and historically important sites in the Mexico City area on a full-day tour. First, visit the archeological site of Teotihuacan and marvel at some of the most impressive pyramids in the world. See the Sun and Moon pyramids, the Temple of Quetzalcoatl and the Avenue of the Dead. Next, you’ll head to Mexico’s most important Catholic pilgrimage site, the basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This shrine was built to commemorate the reported appearance of the Virgin Mary to Juan Diego, an Aztec peasant. The third and final stop of the tour is Tlatelolco, where it is said that the past, present, and future of Mexico meet. The Plaza de las Tres Culturas is named after the 3 periods of Mexican history that are represented by structures from the pre-Columbian, Spanish colonial, and the independent mestizo nation.

The whole tour was very informative & pleasant; HOWEVER: the time for the actual Pyramids was only 2 hours which is not enough to even absorb the structures around you & reflect or admire the site for what is worth. Running like the crazies to see it all & take pictures like a machine is not a nice feeling when you know you have spent all this money to expensive flights & hotels & traveled across the globe for 2 hours only! The after the pyramids is not necessary. That time should have been allocated to the pyramids & the people booking this tour could have had a sandwich instead from the hotel. These are wrong priorities for the tourists but the right ones for the Tour operators that get commissions by bringing tourists to certain businesses before & after the visit to the Pyramids. Same again with souvenir sites prior to the Guadelope church. If you are not scared of driving in Mexico City then rent a car & spend the money on a good tour guide instead & enjoy the sites!

Our tour guide, Alan was wonderful!!! He was very friendly, professional and informative. The pyramids are amazing. The basilica was overwhelmingly busy and therefore, not as enjoyable. The 2 complaints we had were that we were the 1st to be picked up and it took nearly an hour to get out of town. Understandably, the marathon was going on but also, people were spread out over the city. My recommendation is to have a meeting spot for all people to go at a certain time and then all leave at the same time. Also the food at the chosen restaurant was awful and expensive!! Allow attendees to choose their own restaurant

I had a very positive experience with this tour. The timing at each stop was perfect. Our guide, Fernando, had deep knowledge on the history and backgrounds. He took his time to slowly explain in details in both English and Spanish. He was also very hospitable and very enjoyable to be around with :)
