Full description

Discover four top attractions in downtown Mexico City on a walking tour dedicated to taking pictures for your Instagram account. Go to four famous, Instagrammable landmarks that will be your striking backdrops and learn about their rich history from your local guide.

Head straight to your first location, the Palace of Fine Arts or the Palacio de Bellas Artes. Marvel at its Neoclassical and Art Nouveau architecture on the outside, and Art Deco look on the inside — perfect for photos.

Learn how the building is most famous for its murals by the famed artist Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo’s notorious ex-husband, as well as being the country’s premier venue for the arts. Make your way to your next stop: the Metropolitan Cathedral, the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mexico. Located on top of the former sacred Aztec precinct, it was built in sections from 1573 to 1813 in the style of Spain’s Gothic masterpieces. Afterward, go to the National Palace at the city’s main square, the Plaza de la Constitución, El Zócalo. This site has been home to Mexico’s ruling class since the Aztec empire. In fact, much of the current building’s materials are from the original structure that belonged to Moctezuma II. Finally, head to Templo Mayor – the main temple of the Mexican people in their capital Tenochtitlan, modern-day Mexico City. Then, stroll through one of the major lifelines of the city's downtown are: Francisco I. Madero Avenue. Absorb the vibrant atmosphere as you browse boutiques, bars, and cafes.

Spectacular. My guide Ariushka took me through the most beautiful and interesting places in the Historic Center of Mexico City, while explaining the most important historical and cultural aspects. His kindness, patience and knowledge on the subject is remarkable. An unforgettable tour with many postcards to remember. Highly recommended.
