Sardinia Cooking Class: Fresh Handmade Pasta

1. Sardinia Cooking Class: Fresh Handmade Pasta

This is an experience for animal lovers in a familiar environment. Located near Cagliari, Sardinia’s capital city, Sinnai is a small town where you can still see the typical Campidanese-style houses, with their mud-brick walls and wooden roofs, in its historic centre. One of these houses is where a friendly couple will teach you how to make two different types of local traditional pasta: malloreddus (also known as Sardinian gnocchi) and culurgiones (ravioli closed in a peculiar way). Later, we will cook the pasta and eat together, with a glass of lovely local wine and other typical products.

What people are saying about Metropolitan City of Cagliari

I went to do the cooking class with my mom and we both loved it! The hosts are super friendly, nice, funny and have a lot of patience when it comes to explaining! We laughed a lot, we learned a lot and even at the end we were able to taste the pasta that we had made together with an appetizer that they had prepared. I would do it again tomorrow!

Such a fun and incredible experience learning to make traditional Sardinian pasta. Felt very authentic and everyone was SO nice. I loved that they also offered pick up and drop off to/from my hotel. All of the other members of the group were so nice and we all had a little lunch after. Would 100% recommend :)

This activity was the highlight of our trip to Cagliari. Isabella and her family were super friendly and helpful, we had lots of fun, learned to make delicious pasta, and had a lovely meal together afterwards.

Another memory we won't forget! If you are visiting Sardinia, do not miss this activity.

we spent a really lovely time with isabella and Sylvia
