Full description
Starting with a pickup from your accommodation in Mexico City, you’ll depart the city and head towards Malintzin. Here you will start an incredible walk crossing a beautiful conifer wood to arrive at a mountain meadow where we will be able to see the objective of your hike.   Climbing the side of the mountain, you will find magnificent landscapes with the highest mountain in Mexico, Pico de Orizaba, to your left and, to your right, the twin volcanoes of Popocateptl and Iztaccihuatl.   Walk along the ridge of the mountain to reach the objective of the summit, the 5th-highest mountain in Mexico at 4,500 meters above sea level. Patient guide. Much more difficult than even an athlete would expect. Virtually no chance of strength or especially time to get to summit. Goal should be 13,000 feet. Download altimeter app. Take 64-80 ounces if water. Wrap feet heavily. Hiking shoes because you will slide on your butt a lot if rhe way down without them.
