Planning Your Visit
When to go?
The best time to visit Melbourne is during fall (March to May). Not only is the weather at its most tolerable, but the changing colors of the city's foliage lend an air of charm to its Victorian-era buildings. If you can, try to catch the annual Food and Wine Festival during the first half of March!
How many days?
If the purpose of your visit is simply to see Melbourne's sights then you will need at least 2 or 3 days. That said, Melbourne has a multitude of festivals happening year round so consider staying for a bit longer if any of them take your fancy!

What people are saying about Melbourne
Our tour guide San was great and took us on a fascinating trip through arcades and laneways, pointing out the beautiful Victorian and Art Deco architecture on the way. We visited some gorgeous niche shops and learned a lot about the history of the city. It was a really lovely tour and a great way to get an insight into what is available in Melbourne.
Loved it, didn’t experience much paranormal activity but it didn’t take anything away from the interesting back stories and facts on the history of the Melbourne CBD. Most definitely will check out other tours from lantern ghost tours
There were so many incredible scenes to photograph! Thank you for the suggestions on the floor for angle and poses. My friends are amazed by the photos. Many had never heard of Artvo and now plan to visit.
Got to see a lot of corners of Melbourne we would otherwise never have experienced. The guide (Harriet) was knowledgeable and a pleasure to listen to.
Smooth arrangements from the jetty ticket office onto the boat and all along. Excellent commentary by an experienced captain.
