What people are saying about Meknes

I took a walking tour of Meknes with the guide Rachid Ismaili. Rachid takes amazing pictures, the first shot was always perfect and the way I wanted it. The guide knew a lot about the city and explained a lot of details about the Jewish quarter, how the Royal Granary was working, the history with the Portuguese captive of the Kara Prison who built it, the different periods of the medinas (Berber medina, Anadalus medina, guided me to secret streets with hidden gems (amazing doors, etc) and explained me the different Souks. Bab Mansour was not illuminated by the sun in the morning (when our tour took place) and Rachid was willing to meet with me later in the late afternoon again so that I could get a perfect picture of Bab Mansour with great lighting, I really appreciated this.

Fantastic day trip. Very easy to arrange this trip. The guide and driver showed up promptly at our Riad and provided excellent service in a nice air conditioned van. Our visits to Volubilis, Mecknes, and Moulay Idress were very informative. The guides provided at Volubilis and Mecknes were excellent. After visiting the Medina at Fes the day before, the Medina at Mecknes was not as inspiring and would suggest trying to spend more of the time at Volubilis. Overall, would highly recommend this tour.

Had a fantastic day out doing this tour to Volubilis and Meknes, definitely recommend it... had no idea Morocco home to 2000 year old Roman ruins, was truly very informative and enjoyable. Unfortunately, did this tour on a Friday so afternoon in Meknes was a bit restricted, but still very worthwile. Just seeing the beautiful and monumental Bab Mansour is enough! We had a fanatstic driver, Mustafa, who was as knowledgeable as he was enthusiastic! We loved it - thank you!

Very nice trip. Good guides and a careful driver

Very nice trip at a relatively small distance from Fez. In other words, not in the car for too long. Attentive and careful driver who also gives the appropriate explanation during the ride. Local guides really do their best. Really worth it!

A very enriching and pleasant experience.

We had a great day. Our driver was extremely attentive and attentive. I recommend the guides to Volubilis and Meknes without whom we would have missed out on many things.
