    Full description
    Discover the UNESCO listed medina of Meknes on this 4-hour tour. Your guide will meet you at your hotel or riad (house). Your tour begins with a tour of the walls including several monumental gates dating from the 17th century. You'll continue on to explore the city stables (rua) and granaries (heri). Next, see the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail with its detailed mosaics and peaceful courtyards, and the famous Bab Mansour gate on the vast square of Hedim. On the other side of the square, the Museum of Moroccan Art "Dar Jamai" offers a wide variety of handicrafts for you to enjoy. At the end of the tour, your guide will take you back to your hotel or riad.

    I took a walking tour of Meknes with the guide Rachid Ismaili. Rachid takes amazing pictures, the first shot was always perfect and the way I wanted it. The guide knew a lot about the city and explained a lot of details about the Jewish quarter, how the Royal Granary was working, the history with the Portuguese captive of the Kara Prison who built it, the different periods of the medinas (Berber medina, Anadalus medina, guided me to secret streets with hidden gems (amazing doors, etc) and explained me the different Souks. Bab Mansour was not illuminated by the sun in the morning (when our tour took place) and Rachid was willing to meet with me later in the late afternoon again so that I could get a perfect picture of Bab Mansour with great lighting, I really appreciated this.
