From Sarajevo: 2-Day Wine Tasting Tour with Meals & Lodging

2. From Sarajevo: 2-Day Wine Tasting Tour with Meals & Lodging

DAY 1: Let's go: Ready, Steady, Wine! We start our day at 9:00 a.m. with a freshly brewed cappuccino and then travel by bus to the Herzegovina Wine Region. On our first day, we will visit three of our favourite wineries, sample local wines and specialties, and we will also be active ourselves! We won’t tell you too much, but you’ll be returning home with a very special souvenir! Each tour has a maximum group size of 12 people, so that each of you can chat with us and ask the wine makers any questions you may have. We finish the evening with a communal dinner at the big table among the wine barrels, celebrating a successful first day – and cheering to a successful second! DAY 2: Wine not get a bit more? After a restful night and breakfast at the wine hotel, we board the bus and begin the day with a dip in the Kravica-Wasserfalls – a welcome reprieve from the heat of Hercegovina and a cure for any hangover! Following that, we visit two more of our favourite wine farm, both of whom demonstrate that it is sometimes necessary to break with tradition and do one’s own thing, whether it is through planting of new varieties or the sale of a small but fine selection. We finish the second day on the terrace of a lovely wine club with views of Herzegovina’s rolling hills, before returning to Sarajevo in the early evening.

What people are saying about Medjugorje

Ante was extremely knowledgeable and was kind enough to set up the tour for us on very short notice. The destinations are beautiful, and the highlight of the day is the farm-to-table meal, which we enjoyed at Ante's family farm. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to visit Mostar and the other areas - or anywhere else that Ante serves.
