Following a pick-up from your hotel in Fez, transfer by air-conditioned vehicle to the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Explore the remains of the 2,000-year-old complex. You will begin your tour at Bab Boujloud, the ornate blue gate leading into the Medina. From here you will head to the magnificent Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, which includes a beautiful esplanade where the Fez Festival of World Sacred Music concerts takes place each year. You will then visit foundouk Najjarine, which houses the "Museum of Wooden Arts and Crafts". You will be surprised here by the collection of the traditional tools used by craftsmen, as well as the Berber carpets and musical instruments. Next up will be the Qaraouiyine Mosque, which is both a university and a mosque situated in the heart of the Medina. UNESCO has named it the oldest continuously functioning educational institution in the world. You will then tour the souks of Fez, along the river and inside the walls of the town. Our guide Kamal took us through a journey across the complex streets of the Medina, straight to the heart of its best. It was a unique experience where we could feel the beauty and understand the history behind all that amazing place. Worthy and we felt safe all the time.
