Medellín: Half-Day Parque Explora and City Discovery Tour

Experience a private tour of Hacienda Nápoles (Spanish for Naples Estate), the grandiose estate built and owned by past drug lord Pablo Escobar that’s now a theme park and zoo. Enjoy a safari drive and see the animals from all over the world that Pablo imported. Get a chance to walk through the areas of the theme park and see items from Pablo’s life. Spot his private car collection that was incinerated by a feuding cartel during the war. See where his mansion once stood and visit the museum with several rare photos from his life. One of the main attractions you’ll see are the famous hippos that Pablo brought from Africa. Witness them in their natural habitat. Then, head to another spot to see Vanessa, a docile female hippo that eats carrots from your hand.
Take a half-day tour to discover the area of Santo Domingo in northern Medellín and visit the famous Parque Explora. Your guide will meet you at your hotel to start your tour. Visit Parque de Los Deseos in the north of the city, and ride the cable car up to the Santo Domingo district. See how the city has been transformed by investment in arts, libraries, parks, science, and community inclusion. Continue to Parque Explora, an interactive science and technology museum with over 300 exhibitions and spaces for experimenting. In addition to this, the museum is home to one of the largest aquariums in South America.
Enjoy Pablo Escobar's former farm that has been transformed into a theme park to be enjoyed by everyone from kids to adults. Encounter a world of fun with pools, lazy river, Safari with wild animals, Dinosaur replicas, bird world, African museum, and much more.
Visit the Monaco Building, the Cocorná Viewpoint, Napoles (Hippo Lake, African Museum, Old House, Car Collection, Historical Photos, car tour through the different roads). Enter the reserve at Río Claro and walk along the path and the Marble beach.
Depart in the early hours of the morning with a drive and a stop for a typical Antioquia breakfast. Continue through eastern towns such as Santuario, Cocorná, San Luis before finally arriving at the Napoles ranch. Have access to the park and the basic Wild Passport. Return to Medellin in the late afternoon.
