Full description
Spend a day visiting the municipality of Guatapé, the city of many names: known variously as the interior sea of Antioquia, the Acapulco of Colombia, the interior Cartagena, Paraíso Paisa (paradise country), Remanso de Paz (haven of peace) and the heart of Antioquia's East, the city was actually named in honor of Cacique Guatapé, an inhabitant of this territory in the pre-Hispanic period. Spend a day visiting this growing and colorful city, made unique by the decorative tiles adorning the lower facade of the houses. For the third part of the day, enjoy a 1-hour boat tour through the reservoir with crossover music. See panoramic views of Casa Museo, La Cruz, Piedras del Marial, Piedra del Peñol and the ruins of the Pablo Escobar's vacation home. Throughout the whole day, you'll be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. Please note that the order of the itinerary may vary.

I wouldn’t say this was a “tour” so much as an itinerary. 90% of the experience was free time at each of the sites; there wasn’t much context given. Still, this was a great value for a full day trip. Just don’t go into it expecting to be fluent in history of Guatape by the end.

We were totally satisfied. It started early to be at the best stops as one of the first groups which is very important when buying tickets and climbing stairs. Mateo was a great guide and we had a safe journey (thanks to a good driver) food was great and enough. I can highly recommend this tour.

Is is a basic tour to guatape, it makes stops in different places and gives you free time. The boat ride is short, if you want a more interesting ride they offer semiprivate rides in one of the towns where you stop. Also, to clime the rock you have to purchase the ticket once you get there. My suggestion to the tour managers is to ask who is going to do the climb in advance so they can purchase the tickets in advance and the tourists doesn’t have to waste time doing the looong line to purchase the tickets. It’s a great tour for the value. If you want more experiences in Guatape ( private boat rides, helicopters etc) you should purchase another tour.
