Really wonderful tour! Everything was well organized from the pickup, to the activities, to the drop off. We met in a meeting point so didn’t waste hours picking up every person. The shuttle was very comfortable with perfect temperature. I was hesitant to book a group tour like this because folks had warned it can be extremely crowded. I booked for a weekday and this was not the case at all! The steps up the rock and the view was lovely! There were people but not too many. We had plenty of time at each stop - with a great balance of guiding and free time. Lastly the boat was amazing! It had 3 levels and music and was just for our shuttle group (around 40 people). The included breakfast and lunch were delicious and huge portions. And the best part about this was our tour guide, Ginna! She gave the tour in both English and Spanish and was knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. From start to end this was a wonderful tour and an excellent value. A must do if you come to Medellin

Overall the tour was good and packed a lot in, which was nice. But just a few things that could be reconsidered by the your operator: 1. The rows of the bus were so narrow. It was worse than the cheapest discount airline you can think of. Very uncomfortable. 2. El Peñón de Guatape was packed. This was no “walk up the rock at your own pace.” This was stand in a slow moving line the entire way up and down (think line at Disneyland). 3. The lunch restaurant was just a random spot on the side of the road - could be better to actually eat at a restaurant in Guatape. 4. The tour guide was super nice, but she didn’t really guide. We weee basically just dropped off at each stop and left to wander. 5. Boat was too crowded. Better not to cram multiple tours on one boat. Overall I’m glad I went and the price made the tour worth it. Just know what it’s about so it meets your expectations.

Our group enjoyed this experience so much that we were even talking about it amongst ourselves during lunch. It was the perfect balance between a guided tour and traveling independently. I am a solo traveler so I do enjoy getting to do things on my own and I loved that there was plenty of time for that while still also getting to know folks in my group. I was truly impressed with how smoothly the day went, how adequate time was given for each stop, how satisfying both breakfast and lunch were, and just how enjoyable everything was overall. Gina, our tour guide, was simply amazing, providing great energy and information along the way, and I'd also like to say thanks to Juan, our driver, for taking such great care of us too. Oh, the one con was that the bus was FREEZING, so definitely take a jacket with you!
