Chelsea Market, Meatpacking, High Line Food & History Tour

2. Chelsea Market, Meatpacking, High Line Food & History Tour

Chelsea Market and the High Line are two of NYC's best attractions. This food and history tour features incredible insights and stories as well as some delicious food and fantastic NYC views. Plus the tour guides are truly entertaining and it's enough food for lunch. Did you know that although the area was originally residential, markets have existed in the district since the 1840s. People moved into tenements in the Meatpacking district in the 1820s to escape epidemics in what was then the main part of New York. In 1900, 250 slaughterhouses and packing plants filled the district; by the 1930s, those houses produced the nation’s third-largest volume of dressed meats. Five meatpacking companies still operate in the district. Boutiques and bars are more common than rump roasts these days, and the neighborhood continues to evolve almost daily. The food included at the Market features a Japanese-style taco, a slice of pizza from Filaga, a doughnut from Doughnuttery, and an halva and tahini tasting from Seed & Mill. Then, have a quick little shopping adventure at Artists & Fleas. After Chelsea Market, walk the beautiful and historic High Line Park and end the tour with an artisanal Belgian chocolate tasting at Neuhaus' Hudson Yards location.

The pass is a really good value for the money. We were happy with all the attractions we saw, and there are a lot to choose from. We had no problem getting in anywhere, just had them scan our QR code. The voucher includes detailed instructions for each attraction. Overall, would recommend as a great way to see things in NYC!

I took the 5 attractions and we didn't have any problems. The Empire State and Museum of Natural History must be booked in advance, everything else was not necessary. In addition to the two, we visited The Edge, Top of The Rock and MoMa. Just present the QRCod at the box office, pick up your ticket and have fun.

It was very easy to get in to the attractions and we saved a good bit of money from buying this pass.

I highly recommend downloading this app, would have been lost without it

Very quick entrance

I loved the gardens and the palace inside. Everything was amazing.
