Treat yourself to morning tea at The Haus, visit the Antique Clock Museum, or shop around in the village's boutique stores. Travel on to the old paddle steamer port of Goolwa for a stroll along the beach where the Murray River meets the sea. Make a short stopover at South Australia's greatest surfing beach before continuing on to Victor Harbor. Keep your eyes peeled for whales as you pass Basham Beach during whale season.  Next, explore the seaside town of Victor Harbor where you can visit the Whale Center and Museum. Take advantage of the chance to visit Granite Island and check out the fairy penguins or ride the famous horse-drawn tram. Purchase lunch from one of the many quaint restaurants and pubs. Your last stop of the day will be McLaren Vale, one of Australia's oldest and finest olive, wine, and almond-growing regions. The trip gave an overall idea of the scenery of the area. The ncluded German cake break was wonderful in the little township of Hahndorf. The local guide Peter was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained all day. I paid to go on the horse drawn tram at Victor Harbour and would higjly recommend that extra.

It’s a gd value to cover victor harbor, hahndorf, mclarenvale winery and see quite a bit. Pickup on time. Our driver/guide/owner is a one man show tour de force. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the area. I wish he would give us more information about the towns n villages . In the beginning he went on quite a bit about politics and climate change and it became a bit not suitable for tour as not everyone agrees with him or his sense of humor. But overall it’s a gd tour . Ps Paul was extremely accommodating in stopping at d arenberg cube winery for us.
