Benefit from a convenient mode of transportation to discover the city and its surrounding areas. Visit Playa Norte and feed the local birds from the open top of the bus. Stop at the Glorieta Germania lookout point and witness brave individuals jumping from the towering perches and cliffs into a tiny dot of water. Then, explore the center of Mazatlán on a guided walking tour through the Historic District and discover narrow streets and colorful buildings designed in a variety of 19th-century European architectural styles. Admire The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, the primary religious landmark of the city, built in a Baroque style. Hop back on the bus and ride along the Malecón (boardwalk), which is one of the longest in the world at 8.5 kilometers. Disappointing tour. We spent over an hour just picking people up before the tour even started. The bus is dirty and uncomfortable. The tour guide, very sweet, but did very little talking. We spent the majority of the time waiting around for people or being taken to places where we had to spend more money. We ended up ditching the tour instead of being uncomfortable on the bus waiting to drop everyone else off. Don’t waste your money.

Our tour leader spoke 98% Spanish so we missed out on a lot. Probably because most people on bus were Spanish speaking. The tour takes you to cliff divers, Cathedral and market (which we practically ran out of because of harassment) and Plaza. In the future I would choose a different tour that covered more places and was in English. We learned a few things and not all was wasted—just wasn’t the tour for us.
