Discover Amber Island from the water and on land as you paddle across the blue waters of the lagoon. The islet is known for its rich flora which creates shady waterways perfect for exploring by kayak, including the mangroves. Tour the island with a guide and learn more about its history before enjoying a delicious BBQ lunch. Start off with a 15-minute kayak expedition from the northern coast of Mauritius (the embarkation point is Bain De Rosnay beach) towards Amber Island. During the paddle, you have the opportunity to explore a floating mangrove forest by kayak. Upon reaching Amber Island, join a guided tour of the isle which also includes a nature walk, and seeing ruins dating back to 1750. Before heading back to shore, swim in the crystalline waters of Ilot Bernache or stay dry and just take in the beautiful views. It was amazing! Our guide Christopher told us about the mangroves and was really nice. We also have some fun together and good talk. We made a stop at a little island and had a snack. If we want to do kayaking in Mauritius again i will book it there and ask for Christopher. Thank you guys.

Absolutely amazing experience kayaking through the mangroves and swimming in the waters around them. Peaceful, serene and quiet. Our guide was lovely and we learnt a lot about Amber Island and the Mauritian culture along the way. Would highly recommend this excursion - we saw no other tourists, so it felt like a real immersive experience where we got the island to ourselves. We would however recommend pre-booking a return taxi, or if possible renting a car. The meet location is a little remote and there is no easy transport near by. Overall one of the best activities we did in Mauritius - thanks very much!

Fantastische Erfahrung. Kurz: UNBEDINGT MACHEN, WENN IHR AUF MAURITIUS SEID.
