My wife and i loved the hike! Jacob, our guide was very knowledgeable, funny, engaging and thoughtful. He went out of his way to find and collect flowers and fruit from the rainforest that we could learn about and partake in. Jacob took us to many beautiful waterfalls not hesitating to jump into every one of them :) He even encouraged and talked my wife into jumping into too! She's glad he did! Thank you Jacob!

Our guide George was great. This is a very difficult hike if you are older, have certain health issues that would impact your ability to walk on slippery, rocky surfaces or if you are not athletic. Beautiful views.
Start your day in the Makena Landing Beach Park on the south side of Maui. Grab a kayak and paddle over the waves beneath the warm Hawaii sun. Dive in and take the plunge as you snorkel in crystal clear waters. Be sure to be on the lookout for Hawaii's famous Green Sea Turtles grazing at the bottom or floating at the surface. Head for the lush rainforest and cross through the scenic green landscape. Once you arrived at the waterfalls you can jump off the cliffs and then relax in the pools below. Don't forget your bathing suit and sunscreen.
The day was wonderful. We have described the day as a vacation Maui Iron Man!! Though the day was broken up into two segments, with different providers, we enjoyed every minute. Beach launch the Kayak and paddle to the reef and jump in to swim with the sea turtles was the highlight of our whole trip. The hike/waterfall portion was also great. The provider has access to private sections of the park, giving us time to build the courage to jump. This is a must do for the adventurous traveler.
