This tour is among one of the best I have taken in all my life. And this is not an understatement because I have been traveling for over 30 years. Hobbiton was on my bucket list and this tour, met every expectation of the most diehard Lord of the rings fan. Our guy Alex was absolutely stellar. Courteous, polite, jovial, and full of facts. He was very cognizant of how much people wanted to enjoy the tour and went out of his way to make it special for us. For all Lord of the rings fans, this is an absolute must, and I will not spoil your fun by saying how quaint and beautiful Hobbiton really is. The transportation is comfortable. The breaks are well timed, information given is perfect, relevant, and not overbearing. This is an absolute must do. Needless to say, also, great value for money. Do not hesitate to book this tour !

Really great expierence. Recommend doing a day tour to Hobbiton from Auckland! Alex from Auckland Scenic Tours was a really great guide and driver and could tell alot about NZ, Auckland and Hobbiton. We got picked up and dropped off right in front of our hotel. Very convinient. You need to get up early, but thats totally worth it!

Such a great experience! I was picked up right outside my hotel at the time they told me. Departed Auckland with commentary on the country itself and the areas we were driving through. Arrived at Hobbiton with plenty of time to have a look at the gift shop before we were loaded onto a bus to the movie set. The set itself was like stepping right into the movies, all of it kept in perfect condition. The guide was very friendly allowing us to take as many pictures as we wanted and giving us background on the making of the films. Once done we were driven back to where we were picked up from
