  • Walk under the plane trees of the Cours Mirabeau
  • Go to a local market to discover the Provencal produce
  • Enjoy an optional visit to Cezanne's studio
Full description
Meet your driver at the cruise terminal in Marseille seaport. Drive to Aix-en-Provence and discover the Cours Mirabeau lined with 17th and 18th centuries private mansions, where large plane trees give shade on hot summer days. Visit Place d’Albertas and see the fountain whose basin was made by local students. See the Four Dolphins Fountain, an impressive sculpture created in 1667. Other sights in the vibrant city are the City Hall and the Cathedral Saint Sauveur, which feature 12th-century buildings offering insight into Aix-en-Provence's unique heritage. See the old town, which is packed with shops, architectural and religious sites, bustling squares and refreshing fountains. Take a stroll through one of the numerous markets taking place everyday in the center of the city. Aix is also the birthplace of the painter Paul Cézanne. Don't miss the opportunity to visit Cézanne's studio that was built from his own plans and where time seems to stand still.

driver provided us with route on map making it easy to see everything

Very little what you offered for the money we paid

The excursion was for 4 hours. Assuming we lost 1.5 hours to go and return 2 hours of free time in the city, then we have about 30 minutes to tour. The tour guide showed us 2 points of the city and that was it. Very disappointing excursion.

Our guide was great! But, if it was not market day there was not much to do.
