Basically good and saw a lot of dolphins, that was nice! However, also* in this "national park" hotspot there was unfortunately more of a crowd of motorized rubber motor boats (at least 6-8) with around 12 snorkelers each. They then try to be closest to the dolphins in this lagoon at the same time. I found this unfortunate and uncomfortable. Facts about this day trip: - Travel time there & back in total (from Marsa Alam North, bus 6-7 hours & boat 4-5 hours) - Dolphins seen (several times smaller groups 5-20 in the morning and in the afternoon a group of about 30- 40) - A total of 2 snorkeling sessions, 1x morning and 1x afternoon, each approx. 45-60 minutes *(because 2 days ago the same problem with a day trip to Mubarak with manatee & turtles) My conclusion: Unfortunately, business often comes before reason.

The Royal Tulip Beach Resort bus to the boat is approximately 2.5 hours away, some of which are on bad roads. Then about 2 hours by boat (they have pills for seasickness on board, but it is advisable to take them one hour earlier). In strong winds, the boat can fluctuate a lot. Once at the reef you will be dropped by a smaller boat at the dolphins (if there are, 50-80% chance). You can then swim for around 45 minutes with these approximately 60 dolphins. An experience I will never forget. The dolphins sometimes get very close. Wonderful to be able to swim with! Afterwards you get a delicious buffet on board and you can relax. You can then swim for another 45 minutes. You can also swim along the beautiful colorful coral. Back it is again 2 hours by boat and then 2 hours by bus. We had been on the road from 5.30 am to 7 pm. But this experience is more than worth the long journey and the rate!

It is a long boat ride but we saw dolphins swim around us and you sit comfortably on benches at tables. Then you arrive at the coral reef and you get snorkel and swim feet and life jacket and are transported out to the coral reef in a small boat and jump in the water. There is an instructor with all the time. Unfortunately, the corals are not that colorful anymore but they are fun anyway. We swam side by side with the dolphins. It was fun. Back on the boat after this we got some delicious food and then returned to the harbor.
