We recently took this tour during our stay in Marrakech and it exceeded all our expectations. Abdel was our guide for the day and was so informative, engaging and kind throughout the trip. We felt taken care of and refreshments (Water) were offered by Abdel. There was a hike with difficult terrain which may not suit everyone but we personally loved it! This was definitely the highlight of our trip, we learnt so much about both morocco and the Atlas mountains from Abdel who is a passionate guide sharing the lifestyle of Berber people. I would recommend this tour for anyone who wants to experience an incredible home made meal and really explore beyond just Marrakech to learn about the Amazigh (Berber) people inhabiting the beautiful Atlas mountains.

Ahmed our guide was incredible, nothing was too much for him. It was far better than we expected and he was so patient with all our requests. This is a great family day out which enables you to see the beautiful mountainous resort many of the locals from Marrakech come, to escape the heat. Whilst congested with lots of domestic tourists it’s still a nice light hike, the views are great. However the best part of the experience is the lunch at a Berber family’s house, which is truly magical. Our guide Ahmed did claim that it was going to be the best chicken tagine we’d ever taste and he wasn’t wrong, as I write the review my mouth waters as I recall the flavours.
