Full description
Ourika Valley, at the foot hills of the High Atlas Mountains is only a 45 minutes south east of Marrakech. The valley offers a great escape from the heat of Marrakech for the locals during summer months. This group day trip to Ourika Valley from MArrakech is ideal for nature lovers and light trek into one of the small size waterfalls, or just relax and have a snack at one of the local cafés unted the shade of the walnut tress next to the stream. After a 30 minutes drive via the fertile Haouz Planes, you will reach Tnin Ouika center, where you will stop for a visit of the open air Berber weekly market. It is operated every day, but Mondays are much busier and lively. From here you will continue up to Setti Fatma. On the way, stop at a Berber house where you can share a cup of mint tea with the locals before you continue to Stti Fatma Berber village. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided light trek into the the water falls above the village (local guides available for hire). Return back to the village where you can have lunch (at leisure) at one of the local cfés next to the stream.

Beautiful experience, departure in the morning for the Ourika valley, then once we arrived a guide took us to discover the Setti Fatma waterfalls with a beautiful walk in the mountains, lunch in a small restaurant by the river where, however, the food was not maximum, that's why I gave one star less. Returning to Marrakech we made various stops including one in a typical house where they offered us tea and in a ceramic shop where they showed us how they work with clay

This is a nice day trip from Marrakech. Our driver and guide were both very friendly and accommodating, and both spoke 4 languages! Our guide offered us two hike options: 50dh to take us to the base of the falls, or 100dh to go up to the next level and out along the mountain to overlook the Berber village. A guide is necessary because the path out to the falls is not signposted at all. I would also recommend the longer hike as it's much more interesting overall and doesn't take that much longer. However, sensible shoes are A MUST. This is very rocky terrain and people with mobility issues might struggle with the longer hike. Otherwise it's a pretty simple walk.

Nice to see. However, we think that the argan oil is not real and that it is a sales pitch. It was also a pity that the price for the Guide to the falls was not already included. That would give a better idea of what you've lost in such a day.
