The experience with our guide, Ziga, was exceptional. He's very passionate about the history and local culture, therefore the information he provided was extensive. However, I would recommend focusing the tour more on the Ptuj town and Vineyards rather than trying to cover Maribor as well. Too much driving for our opinion. Get the wine experience more detailed and you will get a much more comprehensive experience.
The northeast of Slovenia is not often visited by tourists, but has a rich history and atmosphere that is worth a visit. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit to Ptuj Castle and learning about Slovenia's oldest town. The highlight of the tour was the Heart of the Vineyards, on the border with Austria. Delicious wine with a bottle to take home. Our host was personable, informative, and made the day very enjoyable.
Very special trip with the best guidr Primo! very well explanations about every small part of the trip in Maribor, Ptuj. We have enough time to relax and enjoy with the guide and with other travelers.
An unforgettable trip !!! Ptuj and Maribor are very worth seeing. The history of the cities is also very interesting. And finally seeing the Slovenian vineyards is sooo impressive. Just fantastic!!!
