Mallorca: Visit the Caves of Hams

1. Mallorca: Visit the Caves of Hams

Journey to a world of crystalline caverns with tickets to Hams' Caves in Porto Cristo, Mallorca. Discover the mystical chambers of the caves and marvel at their magnificent stalactite formations. Experience the natural acoustics during a classical concert on the Sea of Venice, an underground lake. Witness the caves' peculiar fish-hook-shaped formations. Explore the 3 main caves, starting with the round cave. Step into its botanical garden with many species of free-flying birds that are native to the island. Experience its special micro-climate that promotes its distinct vegetation. Enter the blue cave to watch the educational documentary, Discovering the Past, presented with blue lighting using cutting-edge LED technology. Learn about the history of Mallorca, its first inhabitants, the formation of the Hams' Caves, and their discovery. Admire Samson’s pillars, the plains of Fra Mauro, and the Pit of Hell, where, in a natural auditorium, they will present Genesis, the history of life, a frenzied time-lapse from the Big Bang to the present day, projected onto the very rock-face of the cave.  See the 12 galleries of the main cave. What people are saying about Manacor

Above expectations; really pretty. I was with 2 teenagers (14 and 17), they were also impressed. Impressive, not too long, not too short. I sometimes suffer from claustrophobia, I have indicated this in advance. They have indicated that you can easily return to the exit. And there is an employee at every 'new' cave. The caves are spacious enough and you see where you are going. I didn't feel like I could get lost as there is a clear path. The caves are beautifully lit and afterwards I was just amazed by the beauty of the caves. Public transport is not optimal, so we took a taxi on the way back.

This trip is very good value for money and one I would highly recommend. There are a few steep staircases to climb so a basic level of fitness is required and trainers are a good idea! The views are breath taking and there are plenty of photo opportunities. The guide is in English but there are separate language handsets available for those who need a different language. If you do not have a car (like us) then the best way to get there is by taxi although there can be up to a 30min wait during peak season.

Fantastic adventure upon a glass bottom boat. The tour was so enjoyable visiting the different beaches and coves and stopped twice for people to go swimming which my husband enjoyed very much. Well worth the money.

Amazing experience and very educational for our 7 year old son and would be for older children too. Loved it and would definitely visit again

Excellent. Everything perfect and above all very beautiful caves
