La base What a once in a lifetime experience. Everything is handled great. Pickup was on time and of we went to “la base” right next to the Rio Madre de Dios river. Once we arrived we had an amazing breakfast and our rooms were ready. At arrival we were lucky enough to spot wild monkeys in the trees of la base, incredible. After breakfast the first trip started and we went to lago sandoval. 1 of the many trips to come. The guides were great and we were greatly impressed by the knowledge about the animals, plants, trees and everything that is found in the river and amazone. This kind of information you can't learn in school, you have to learn through experience of living in the jungle. The food was great, the drinks were cold and the artmosphere was amazing. We felt home and were sad to leave, but we left with a memorie we will never forget!! Charlie, Eddy, Alda, Jair and the whole team, many many thanks! It was an amazing 4 days!! Regards Kirsten and Johan.

Green House Tambopata is a gem in the jungle. It's not deep in the jungle, but that makes it easily accessible and also since the rooms have giant mosquito nets as windows, you really feel that you are in the jungle, syrrounded by nature. We could also spot somw sloths and monkeys right next to the lodge on the night walk. Overall, the tours were great (not in the same order aa described here because they adapted to the weather to make sure we get the best experience). Charly, the owner, is an awesome guy with tons of knowledge about the area and his concept of building this lodge together with locals and educating lical guides for the tours is well worth supporting. Also, you get the best insights from locals! Would definitely recommend this experience! Also communication with Charly via WhatsApp was very seamless and he was quick to respond to any questions and keep us up to date about our tours for the day.

truly a magical experience! the guides were great (Eddie, Alda, etc)! food was good every time. The sleeping accommodations were better than expected. The time between excursions were great. I left with so many beautiful photos, memories, and new friends from the experience. would HIGHLY recommend! especially as a solo female traveler. do it. you won't regret it.

Well organized and we saw a lot of animals (macaws, caimans, capybaras, etc.). The accommodation was very simple but comfortable and the food was included and very tasty

A great experience. Very competent guides. Accommodation in the middle of the jungle. Real Peruvian cuisine.
