What people are saying about Madre de Dios Region

La base What a once in a lifetime experience. Everything is handled great. Pickup was on time and of we went to “la base” right next to the Rio Madre de Dios river. Once we arrived we had an amazing breakfast and our rooms were ready. At arrival we were lucky enough to spot wild monkeys in the trees of la base, incredible. After breakfast the first trip started and we went to lago sandoval. 1 of the many trips to come. The guides were great and we were greatly impressed by the knowledge about the animals, plants, trees and everything that is found in the river and amazone. This kind of information you can't learn in school, you have to learn through experience of living in the jungle. The food was great, the drinks were cold and the artmosphere was amazing. We felt home and were sad to leave, but we left with a memorie we will never forget!! Charlie, Eddy, Alda, Jair and the whole team, many many thanks! It was an amazing 4 days!! Regards Kirsten and Johan.

I can highly recommend this trip with tambopata greenhouse adventures. We had a private guide to ourselves that was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and pointed out many things we wouldn’t have seen on our own. Boris was funny, entertaining and led us away from the other tourist boats so it felt as if we had the lake to ourselves. We saw many exotic birds, caimans, interesting plants and beautiful butterflies. The whole trip was very personalized and I can’t recommend Charlie and his guides enough. They are knowledgeable and fun. Overall great experience.

truly a magical experience! the guides were great (Eddie, Alda, etc)! food was good every time. The sleeping accommodations were better than expected. The time between excursions were great. I left with so many beautiful photos, memories, and new friends from the experience. would HIGHLY recommend! especially as a solo female traveler. do it. you won't regret it.

A great experience. Very competent guides. Accommodation in the middle of the jungle. Real Peruvian cuisine.

Very nice guides and great tours. Will remember the sunset on the river for a long time.
