Meeting point and guide were very easy to find. The group was only 3 people and the guide. Very small and intimate which made it easy to talk amongst each other and hear our guide. We continued to the boat area where we got onto a water taxi - which is riding in style. It was comfortable, warm, and fun. We made multiple stops along the way of the tour and had a lot of the history of Venice explained to us. The final destination was the tower. It is worth it. It is by far one of the most spectacular views I have ever seen. Plus, it wasn't very crowded either. Also got a very detailed description of all the islands you could see. Emmanuella was our guide and she was amazing. She is very energetic, makes the history part of the trip very easy to follow and understand, and was very prepared. She is very passionate about the city and it really made the experience the best it could possible be.
A really good tour with a great guide. Disappointing after a ‘luxury’ speedboat was advertised to find a plain old average water taxi was used. Definitely not luxury as the advertising and ticket guaranteed. We felt misled and particularly as there are some more luxurious water taxis in Venice than the two used in our tour. The first was very average and small which ferried the group to the island to go up the bell tower. The second boat for the remainder of the tour was also not a luxury speedboat. One other disappointing factor was the advertised tour set a maximum of 9 persons but 10 were booked. For the price of this tour what is advertised and promised should be met. A really good tour that could have been great if the boat was as advertised and the stipulated maximum number stuck to.
An amazing way to see the city. Christiano knee his stuff and showed us the city in three parts. First the local areas which are quaint and quiet, then the grand canal and more well known areas then across to an island where we go in an elevator up to one of the best views in the city. This was easily the best money we spent all trip and the boat we took was comfortable and beautiful!! Definitely recommending this to everyone!
What a wonderful experience. Our local guide Francesca was engaging, informative and shared insight on life in Venice. Views from San Giorgio were spectacular, truly memorable. The motor cruise through the Grand Canal was very special, particularly with commentary and anecdotes.
Wonderful tour, our guide who had grown up in Venice was so knowledgeable about the history and had many personal stories to share. The view from the bell tower over Venice proper was spectacular. would definitely recommend doing.
