Travel from Rome to Pompeii in an air-conditioned private coach, accompanied all the way by your expert tour coordinator. Benefit from skip-the-line entry and enjoy a self-guided visit around the ancient city. Throughout the ruins, you’ll come across death casts: plaster recreations of unfortunate citizens preserved by the superheated volcanic ash. After visiting Pompeii, the coach will take you up the slope of Mt. Vesuvius (from April to mid-November), one of Europe’s few active volcanoes located in the Vesuvius National Park. From here, take a short hike up to the steaming crater for stunning views of Capri and Sorrento. During the winter season between November and March, Mt. Vesuvius is closed, so your tour will follow the coastline and take you to the city of Naples, where you can explore the iconic Castle Nuovo, the famous art deco Umberto I Gallery, or simply wander around th...

Well organized tour and well priced. My only recommendation is to allow more time for Mt. Vesuvius. Having only one hour to climb and descend was not enough time for us to fully aprreciate it.

Good and knowledgeable guide but entry could have been included in the price.

Our booking included that we could stay in the area after the guide was finished. Became difficult to implement for our reunion site and return of technical equipment was done outside Pompeii and we were not allowed to enter again. Otherwise, our guide was knowledgeable and informative. Exciting tour despite the oppressive heat.

Pompei is fascinating! A must see!

Our guide was very sweet, friendly and helpful. She was extremely knowledgeable but spoke very quickly with a rather heavy accent. Some of her narrative seemed like a speech. She was much easier to understand when she spoke more spontaneously (as when she was asked a specific question).

We had the best time of our lives on this tour. It was simply breathtaking and we loved our driver Francesco Scarico he made our trip memorable and highly recommend him. We also went to Pompeii and had the best guide Jasmine she was wonderful and made our vacation unforgettable!!

Great guide, confusing start.

It was frustrating that I had to call someone because no one showed up at the meeting point until 15 minutes after. The rest of our group was informed of a different location. The guide was 45 min late due to traffic. Otherwise the tour was very informative.

Interesting! Laura the German speaking guide lives this job.

A must. Best with private transfer and guide in the language you know ...
