We are novices when it comes to this sort of thing, and so booked without knowing fully what to expect. However, we were totally blown away by the experience. Our guide, Vladimir, was superb and his knowledge of the area and its residents really shone through. The intimate size of a group of 6 meant that we all felt part and parcel of the discussions. This was the highlight of an altogether fascinating long weekend in Lyon.

We started on time, which was great. It was very private, with total of 8 participants + driver. We made total of 3 stops: Stop #1: pick nick style breakfast with wine tasting and pastry (great way to start your morning). We stopped on the top of the hill overlooking the beautiful valley, vineyards and rolling hills. Stop #2: historic village with a great views of the valley, learned about the history of the region and walked around a bit. Stop #3: winery itself with a great explanation of the wine planting techniques, types of the grapes / wines produced along with the wine tasting and pairing with cheese, salami, sausage and pork skins. Our experience was completed by visiting the wine store to purchase the bottles for home....
