3. Lucerne Swiss Museum of Transport Entrance Ticket

Head inside the Swiss Museum of Transport with your entrance ticket and explore at leisure. Your ticket gives you access to its key exhibition halls and areas, filled with more than 3,000 displays, making for a fun day out for adults and kids. The museum takes its exhibits to new heights with flight simulators that give you the rush of operating an airplane, helicopter or hang glider. When it's time to get grounded, walk around the Rail Transport Hall to see steam locomotives and model railways, and try your hand at negotiating tunnels, signals and bridges in train simulators. Most people find two–three hours in the museum is sufficient, but your ticket lets you explore for as long as you like. For a supplement you can also visit the museum's domed planetarium to witness its dazzling astronomical shows, or its Filmtheater to watch spectacular 3D and high-definition movies.

What people are saying about Lucerne

Overall rating

It was a nice way to get the kids (5 and 7) interested in trekking around. The puzzles were fun and some were pretty simple and they could help. They also loved the little fireworks when you got it right. Even though we have been around Luzern before, we noticed new things while doing this puzzle.

What an unexpected delight

We took our children (6 & 9yrs old) and they had an absolute ball. There was so much to do in there and we especially loved the space exhibition and the amazing rotating machine. If we had stayed longer in Lucerne, l would have gone back there again as we couldn’t get through it all in one visit.

at the cashier they tols us that some activities were not included (chocolate activity and planetarium) although in the site it says they are included. But the museum was so big that we did not have time for these extra activities anyway

Excellent museum. You can easily spend hours here. I loved the Swiss Chocolate Adventure ride. There are rail, road, sea, and air vehicles to explore.

Do watch the movies and go for the chocolate show in which they tell u how they make the famous Swiss chocolate.
