New Orleans Garden District Tour

1. New Orleans Garden District Tour

Enjoy a guided tour of the New Orleans Garden District, considered by many to be one of the best-preserved collections of historic mansions in the United States, and admire the amazing Antebellum architecture which makes the area a favorite for locals and visitors alike. Later, we will walk pass one of New Orleans’ oldest cemeteries - Lafayette Cemetery. Continually popular with travelers, the cemetery has a unique approach to burials: namely, the above-ground, multiple-burial techniques used. Then, continue on for a view of one of the most striking buildings in all of New Orleans: Commander’s Palace. Host to a myriad of wedding receptions and dinners throughout the year, this eye-catching, turreted Victorian building is one of the most well-respected upscale restaurants in the entire country. Next, take a stroll past more gorgeous homes, some with famous Hollywood connections. Later, visit the working-class area known as the Irish Channel which developed in the early 1800s when the city’s shipping, alcohol, and brewing industries drew workers from all over the world, especially from Ireland. Your guide will then take you back to the streetcar line, where your Garden District tour ends.

New Orleans: Bywater District Food, Beer, and History Tour

Check out cool street art and visit the site that launched a historic Supreme Court civil rights case.  This is a tour for beer and meat lovers (wine options also available). Visit two microbreweries and a German biergarten. Taste BBQ, sausage plates, beignet bites, beer-braised pork, a New Orleans twist on Schnitzel, Bavarian pretzels, and craft beers.

Had an amazing afternoon at New Orleans Crawling Irish Channel Pub Crawl! Virginia was a great host and was accommodating to everyone on tour. Organization of the afternoon was on point, everyone moved to each bar and stayed together. The free beer at each bar was delicious & I liked that local beer recommendations were given as well. Virginia was very knowledgeable, told great historical nola stories & kept us all entertained. This was a great way to spend an afternoon out with friends. Highly recommend this pub crawl to everyone and will definitely be going again! Thanks Virginia, Bobby & Jessica!

I am so glad we did this tour. It got us out of the French Quarter and into the local bars we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to see more than just Bourbon Street.

What a great tour. Our guide was awesome and informative. Got to learn some history and drink some beer. Looking forward to checking out some of their other pub crawls while traveling.

I’m not a big drinker but even I had a great time. The history was funny, entertaining and quiet different. Great guide and I think all had a fabulous tour

Great tour! Had a fantastic and knowledgeable guide and learned a lot of interesting history while drinking some great beers. Cheers!!
