I had a VIP experience doing the walking tour with Michael on Dec 31st at noon. I was looking for something to do before the evening NYE celebrations and this was the perfect fit. The weather was perfect for a walking tour and lasted just over 90 minutes. Michael is very knowledgeable about the history of movie-making in general, Los Angeles and its industry history and local culture. I really enjoyed seeing the movie clips in context with their locations there were over twenty and surprising that many of my favourite movies were featured and it was fun to see the actual location settings in person. It's worth taking the tour to learn more about how the City of Angels evolved and I recommend eating at the Grand Central Market after you're finished. There are lots of amazing food stations to try different cuisines.
It was a chilly and foggy day, bad for us tourists. Thankfully I was by myself, so I sat up front with the driver and HEAT! It's an open window bus, so I imagine it was pretty chilly, especially when went got onto the highway to the Grove. Levi is an excellent guide, lots of fun facts, he stopped or slowed down for any picture opportunities. Love the Santa Monica pier, the Griffith Observatory (the exhibits in the building were awesome, if I had known I would have headed there right after taking pictures of the Hollywood sign). I thought gawking at the celebrity houses was a bit much. Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend!
Alana was a great tour guide. I was hesitant about taking a 7 hour tour, but it was a wonderful way to view so many different sites in one day. And you didn't feel rushed at each stop. I'd encourage it for any first timer.
Tour was pretty good but expected a bit more immersive experience, saw everything from afar, with history storytelling. Would have been cool to actually go inside, especially since it was a Halloween tour.
You can see quite a bit more from a bike compared to a car. Also you feel like you are more a part of the best place to live in the US than a mere tour bus. The E-bike takes the hills our of Beverly Hills.
