Very enjoyable day!

I really enjoyed seeing both Avebury and Stonehenge in one day and would highly recommend it to everyone! Our guide, Sarah, and driver, Brandon, were both terrific. My only complaint is the delay at the start of our day waiting for other people to join our group. We had rushed to get to the meeting point only to drive to another meeting point and wait for almost 45 minutes before leaving for Avebury.

A nice tour with a great guide

We enjoyed our tour to Avebury and Stonehenge, that we booked through Get Your Guide. Everything went like planned, we got picked up on time and returned to London. We went to the long barrow near Avebury first, which was very interesting. After that we went to Avebury where our guide explained some interesting facts about the stones and the stone circle. After that we had some free time in Avebury before we headed to Stonehenge. We enjoyed the day a lot, the only thing that I recommend is, to spend less time in Avebury (we were there about 2 1/2 hours), which was pelnty to walk the entire stone circle, go through all the shops in the village, look at the church and have a picnic infront of the visitor center. In Stonehenge we just had 1:45 hours, which definitly could have been at least half an hour longer. We didn't had to wait very long for a shuttle to the stones, but I can see people have to rush to actually make everything in time. All in all a great day though!

Fantastic tour! Don't muss Avebury and the long barrow! Great guide.

I was fortunate to be in a small group when I went on this tour. The original guide had to go join another group who's guide called in sick, so our driver Brandon did both driving and guide duty. He was really knowledgable, funny, and friendly. West Kennet Long Barrow and Avebury are in some ways even more interesting than Stonehenge. And a big bonus was the drive through the beautiful countryside, small villages with thatched roofs, and charming towns. All the while Brandon filled in snippets of fun details, history, etc. about what we were seeing, the history of England in general, as well as the sites we visited. Do it!
