Day 1 - (L) Say farewell to Melbourne as you drive over the Westgate Bridge bound for Adelaide. Start at the beginning of The Great Ocean Road and twist along this iconic road with awe inspiring views the entire day. Stop for morning tea briefly before pulling over for a photo under Memorial Arch (The Great Ocean Road Sign). Continue through several seaside towns along the way, including Kennett River where your guide will help you find koalas in the wild and native birds amongst the eucalyptus trees, before your lunch stop in Apollo Bay. Relax on the main beach, walk the main street or taste some local ice-cream treats! After the lunch stop, the Great Ocean Road winds into the ancient Otway rainforest as you say goodbye to the coastline for a while. Stretch your legs in the fresh air as you're guided through the crisp wonderland of Maits Rest. Continuing the journey you'll join the ocean again at the Shipwreck Coast. Hear the stories of shipwrecks and marvel at the limestone cliffs and structures that span the coastline. View the 12 Apostles in all their glory as they defy hundreds of years of erosion. Walk down onto the sands of the isolated and remote Loch Ard Gorge. Hear the story of how London Bridge fell down as you view the archway that remains, before making your way into the Grampians National Park for your bed for the night.  Day 2 - (B) Wake up in the heart of the Grampians; Halls Gap. Early morning is the best time as kangaroos bounce, kookaburras laugh, and magpies and currawongs call to the rising sun. After breakfast, drive into the multiple mountain ranges of the Grampians National Park. Captivating panoramic vistas greet you at every break in the trees on your way to Borkoa Lookout. Look down over Halls Gap and Victoria's western plains. Take a walk to the Balconies, a geological icon of the Grampians with views over the Victoria Valley. Step down a series of 250+ stairs to the bottom of the remote Mackenzie Falls. Relax as the waters of the Wartook River cascade over the edge, before making the journey to Brambuk Cultural Center to learn about Jarwadjali and Djab Wurrung tribes that have called the Grampians (Gariwerd) home for thousands of years. Back to Halls Gap for lunch before beginning the drive through the broadacre farmland of Western Victoria. Crossing the border into South Australia, the drive continues all the way through to Adelaide for an arrival to the CBD at approx. 7.00 pm.

Day 1 Guests on this small group tour are picked up from their city hotel or Federation Square and quickly depart Melbourne via the West Gate Bridge. Travel through the vast volcanic plains en route to Geelon, where you have time to stroll along the beautifully transformed waterfront. Start your journey along the Great Ocean Road at Torquay, stopping at various places along the coast including Bells Beach and the scenic morning tea location. Your focus then turns to Australian native wildlife as you observe Eastern Grey Kangaroos in the wild. This is one of many opportunities to see and hear about Australia's unique and unusual animals in their native habitat. Your journey then begins along the very scenic, cliff-hugging section of the Great Ocean Road. While winding your way along you stop to view sites such as the 'Memorial Arch' and hear about the intriguing story of this incredible road. Lorne is the largest of the seaside resorts. With its abundance of cafes and restaurants, it is the perfect place for a lunch break. You may even find time to have a swim or do some shopping. After lunch you cruise along the spectacular road, stopping at many scenic spots, including Kennett River where you can see koalas and many colorful native birds in the wild. Visit Apollo Bay before checking in to Chris's Beacon Point or Beacon Point Ocean View Villas. Your private self-contained villa is set high on a hill overlooking the Southern Ocean. This amazing setting is a great place to relax and unwind for a couple of hours. You'll have dinner tonight at the the award-winning Chris's Restaurant, next door to your accommodation, where the only thing that matches the food are the views. After breakfast in Apollo Bay, you go into the Great Otway National Park. Enjoy a 1-km guided walk through a cool temperate rainforest gully to see the world's tallest flowering plants, prehistoric trees and ferns, and unique features such as 'yabbie chimneys'. We traveling through the Otway ranges and onto the so-called 'Shipwreck Coast'. Your first stop is at Castle Cove overlooking the Aire river valley. Your guide will introduce you to the strong Aboriginal heritage of the region, where many tribes prospered around the coastline for thousands of years. In the same area, millions of years ago, when Australia was part of the great southern land, Gondwana, dinosaurs roamed the land. A unique find along the coast in 1987 uncovered important clues into the world's prehistoric past. The 12 Apostles are icons of Australia's natural beauty. You'll arrive as the stacks are lit with the morning sun, making them perfect for photos and crowd-free. This is a bonus for taking a 2-day trip as the stacks are silhouettes in the afternoon and overcrowded. After hearing of the creation of the stacks and holding some of the limestone rock you can explore the boardwalks or brave a helicopter flight along the coastline at your own expense. You'll then visit 'Loch Ard Gorge', the site of the most famous 19th-century Australian shipwreck. You'll hear the entire story, from the calm voyage, to the tragic wreck, to the courageous survivors and their ultimate fate. While hearing the tale you will be able to see and hold some original artifacts, photos, and documents from the 'Loch Ard' contained in treasure chests. Port Campbell is your lunch stop for today. This small fishing village of just 350 is set in a beautiful natural port and has some wonderful cafes and restaurants for food and views. After lunch you'll travel to a lesser-known but highly impressive area of the Great Ocean Road west of Port Campbell. This section includes London Bridge, the Bay of Islands, the Bay of Martyrs, and Boat Bay before your journey turns inland and travels through open farmland towards Melbourne, arriving there around 18:00.

After pickup at your hotel in Melbourne, depart early in the morning directly toward Torquay. Savor morning tea, then see some of the local surfers in action. Stock up on some chocolates for the day at the local Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery before continuing your journey through small local villages on the way to Split Point Lighthouse. Next, learn some of the history of the Great Ocean Road at the Memorial Arch before taking the steps down to the base of the Erskine Falls. Admire the magnificent falls, then grab lunch and take a stroll at Lorne. Enjoy some time for a quick swim off Lorne Beach, though be aware the water might be slightly cold. From Lorne, move on for another stroll to the Sheoak Falls. Soak up the spectacular views as you wind your way along the Great Ocean Road and stop to see some of the amazing wildlife. Then it’s time to enjoy the wonderful view from the Mariner's Lookout over the quiet village of Apollo Bay, your home for the night. Visit a lovely restaurant or cook for yourself in the hostel's large kitchen. Get another early start on Day 2 and walk through the temperate rainforest in the section of the Great Ocean Road known as the Green Coast. Continue your journey along the Green Coast, stopping at lookouts on the way, until you reach the highest point along the road, Lavers Hill. Tuck into your morning tea at Lavers Hill then visit the Shipwreck Coast to view all 9 lookouts along this section of the road, including the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, and London Bridge. After exploring all these stops, head inland and travel back to Melbourne.

Arriving at the Twelve Apostles in the afternoon after the crowds have left, explore the boardwalks or brave a helicopter flight along the coastline (at your own expense). Visit Loch Ard Gorge and hear the story of the famous 19th-century Australian shipwreck. DAY 2: Port Campbell to Port Fairy Pop back to the apostles in the morning to check out these unique rock formations in the morning light without the crowds. Spend time visiting the unique formations of Loch Ard Gorge and hear the harrowing story of the wreck of the Lock Ard. Next up travel to Warrnambool for lunch followed by a visit to Tower Hill Wildlife Park. Discover aboriginal history and culture, local wildlife, and plants on an interactive tour of the park. Spend the evening in the quaint fishing village of Port Fairy. DAY 3: Port Fairy to Naracoorte Today you're bound for South Australia. Stop in Portland to enjoy panoramic coastal views from the Cape Nelson Lighthouse, before a scenic drive through dense pine plantations to your lunch venue in the pretty riverside village of Nelson. After lunch, cross the border to arrive in Mount Gambier to see the famous Blue Lake and Umpherston Sinkhole. Arrive in the evening to spend the night at Naracoorte. DAY 4: Naracoorte to Adelaide Your day begins with a guided visit to the world heritage-listed Naracoorte Caves, one of the world’s most important fossil sites. Continue with a drive through the Coonawarra vineyards where Australia’s most illustrious cabernet sauvignon vines thrive on the famed rich red soils. Lunch is served at Bremerton Winery Langhorne Creek, where you can also indulge in some wine-tasting. Your tour continues to Mount Lofty for sweeping views of the city, before ending at your accommodation in Adelaide's CBD.

Begin where the builders started construction in 1919, and wind your way along this iconic road with spectacular views the entire journey. Stop for morning tea shortly after you join the road before making your way to Memorial Arch (The Great Ocean Road Sign) for a cheeky snap underneath. Continue to wind along through several seaside townships along the way. Along this stretch, your guide will get you out of the bus and help you spot wild koalas and native bird life among the trees, before stopping for lunch in the town of Apollo Bay with time to relax on the main beach, or try out some super flavors of ice-cream! After lunch the road leaves the coastline, then you're immersed in the ancient Otway rainforest. Breath in the crisp fresh air as your guide takes you on a guided walk through this magical wonderland. A little further along the road, you'll meet the ocean again on the Shipwreck Coast.  Marvel at the limestone monoliths known as the 12 Apostles and the rugged coastline that formed them. Hear the story of Loch Ard, and step down into this remote and isolated beach gorge that's been carved over one hundred years of erosion. A little further down the coast you will see the remains of London Bridge before driving into the heart of the Grampians National Park for your night's accommodation. Day 2 - (B) Wake up in the quaint town of Halls Gap to bounding kangaroos, and laughing kookaburras along with the calls of magpies and currawongs. Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation before driving into the mountain ranges that form this spectacular national park. Be captured with panoramic vistas at every possible view point starting with Borkoa. Lookout as you look over the western plains of Victoria and down on your night's accommodation. Make your way to the geological icon of the Balconies for views into the Victoria Valley and to the most southern tip of the park. Walk down a series of over 250 stairs to the base of the majestic Mackenzie falls before learning about the rich Aboriginal culture of the Grampians (Gariwerd) at Brambuk Cultural Center. After stopping for lunch in Halls Gap, begin the journey back to Melbourne for a late afternoon arrival.

Day 1: Melbourne to Port Campbell (D) You'll begin your tour with a drive through the ancient lava fields of Western Victoria on your way to the country seaside town of Warrnambool. You'll take a detour to Tower Hill on the way, to explore Australia's most recently extinct volcano which is bursting with wildlife. Following that, take a guided walk with Worn Gundidj, learning about the traditional lifestyle of Australia's Aboriginal people and learn about their culture. You'll then drive the Great Ocean Road "backward", starting with Shipwreck Coast and its icons such as the Bay of Islands, The Grotto, and London Bridge, with time to explore the village of Port Campbell. Try some locally made beers from the Sow & Piglets Brewery with dinner, before finishing off your day at the 12 Apostles for sunset. Day 2: Great Ocean Road to Melbourne (B) The second day starts off with a climb down the stairs onto the beach at Loch Ard Gorge, well before the crowds arrive, for a unique take on this ever-so-popular attraction. It's then off for a stroll along a section of the Great Ocean Walk and down to the beach level at the Apostles at Gibson Steps before retreating into the Otway rainforest. Hidden in a place most don't venture, the Redwoods of the Otways will simply amaze as you admire the tallest and second-tallest species of trees in the world side by side. It's then back on the road to continue the breathtaking coastal drive with quality stops in the townships of Apollo Bay and Lorne to soak in the Aussie beach town lifestyle. You'll have time to check out the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice-Creamery for some delicious treats, as well as one of the most popular surf beaches in Australia, before heading back to Melbourne at around 7:30pm.

We start by traveling in to the Adelaide Hills. Here we explore Hahndorf, a traditional German town in the Adelaide Hills and Mt Lofty Summit with sweeping views of Adelaide. Our journey then takes us through grain and stock lands towards the town of Keith for lunch. Next we visit the World Heritage listed Naracoorte Caves to learn of the fossil discoveries of Mega Fauna. The Coonawarra wine region is close by, recognized as the premium Cabernet Sauvignon region of the world, where we stop for wine tasting. Tonight we are accommodated in luxurious rooms at ‘The Barn’ which also houses an award winning restaurant for dinner and breakfast. We start the second day with a visit to the ‘blue’ crater lake in Mt Gambier. Then drive on to Port Fairy before visiting Tower Hill Reserve where we are likely to see Emus, Koalas, Kangaroos and Echidnas. We then start the Great Ocean Road with the impressive limestone stacks of the Bay of Martyrs and Bay of Islands. London Bridge is next before ‘Loch Ard Gorge’, the site of the most famous 19th century Australian shipwreck. We retell the entire story from the calm voyage, the tragic wreck, the courageous survivors and their ultimate fate. While hearing the tale you will be able to see and hold some original artifacts, photos and documents from the ‘Loch Ard’ contained in our treasure chests. Twelve Apostles is close by, here we explain the creation of these limestone stacks and the constant wearing away of this coastline. Our journey then takes us into the Otway National Park and through to Apollo Bay and Skenes Creek where we arrive at your 4 star accommodation set high on a hill with great views overlooking the Southern Ocean. These private villas set within native forest offer the perfect environment to relax and unwind. Tonight’s dinner is at the award winning ‘Chris’ at Beacon Point’. This modern, Greek-Australian restaurant is a famous attraction in the area as well as being a superb restaurant with incredible views. The third day sees us leave our tranquil overnight setting to have breakfast in Apollo Bay. Our first stop is within the Otway National Park at ‘Maits Rest’. This is a 1km walk through a cool temperate rainforest gully discovering trees and ferns. We then turn towards Melbourne and travel along a very scenic section of the Great Ocean Road en route to Kennett River for a fantastic viewing of wild Koalas in their native setting. We also visit many scenic spots for photos and tell numerous stories behind the making of the road. We stop for lunch at the largest of the seaside villages, Lorne. After lunch we drive along the surf coast and take in the surf culture of the region with a visit to Torquay and Bells Beach. Our journey then takes us through the historic gateway to the Great Ocean Road, Geelong before we travel from the west over the ‘West Gate Bridge’ and escort you to your hotel and welcome you to Melbourne.

This all inclusive tour will not only take you to well known locations such as London Bridge and Loch Ard Gorge and the iconic Twelve Apostles, but also a number of lesser known, less crowded but equally beautiful locations - including a secret location or two!
