Unfortunately the day we was supposed to go I was ill during the night, with help from our hotel the guide very kindly offered to reschedule to the following day. Our guide picked us up the following day on time, with his driver, the guide told us so much about the island and about the places we was passing through. First stop was the King's Palace, was a lovely place very peaceful. We declined to go to a local market but saw plenty on our drive, we stopped and had pineapple, drove up through the mountains, taking in all the scenery, once at the top we stopped for photo opportunities, and looked for the black monkeys. Going down through the valley we went strawberry picking. We stopped for lunch at the top of the waterfalls, the restaurant was lovely and a popular spot with more photo opportunities of the views. After going in the waterfall we went to a tribal village, where we could walk through and around, on the way back we stopped for more photos of views of Gili Island & Bali.

A full day's sight seeing where we had plenty of time to explore and photograph the interesting places we visited. We felt that the guides always had our enjoyment as their top priority. Each location was explained and our questions answered. We were also informed about the local way of life and traditions. Plus we had a very good and safe driver. We were pleased with our day out.

We hebben een hele leuke dag gehad! Deze tour was een erg goede manier om veel van Lombok te zien en veel over de cultuur te leren. We zijn de hele dag onderweg geweest en vonden alle locaties ontzettend interessant (Narmada zomerpaleis, Sembalun, Bayan, watervallen bij Senaru) Tour guide Endy maakte het extra persoonlijk en er was veel ruimte voor spontane ontmoetingen met de lokale bevolking!
