Travel along the backbone of the UK as you head North to the area known as the Lake District in Cumbria. Your partially narrated journey will inform you of what to expect throughout the day and give you an insight into events throughout History as well as information on the places you will be visiting. As you arrive in Bowness on Windermere, you will have the opportunity to travel across this famous lake by Steamer style boat or similar lake cruiser. Fully narrated and lasting about 45-minutes, the views from the centre of the Lake are not to be missed. Boat trip over, you will now have the chance to explore the old mill town of Ambleside. Here, you can sample the delights of the Lake District in one of the many Bistros, Cafes, Hotels or Pubs.
