The host was great- she got us into the castle while the ticket agents were on strike (first time that happened I learned!). The castle is beautiful and it was worth it to bypass the line. Great spot for IG pictures. Easy to find the guide at the meeting spot. Wish the guide spoke more about the Moors who built the castle and how they lived. Tour focused on people who took over and didn’t build the castle.

I was impressed that the trip toke us so far on cost of Portugal. Our pilot Ricardo was the best guide man I have ever had. He was signing us Portugal song as well filled up with little info on the way to castles and towns. Very knowledgeable and sooo funny! If you book the trip ask for him! Golden men. Woth spend money if you want to se more then Lisbon!

Definitely recommend going early. We walked right in at 10am and there was a long, long line when we were leaving. The guide gave a lovely and informative talk at the beginning which was easy to understand and nice that it was from a local's point of view. It was not too long, but very well delivered, and then we were able to explore on our own. There were people there of all ages and beautiful views. Highly recommend!
