Then, you will head to the historical center of Sintra, where you’ll have free time to explore and visit the National Sintra Palace.  After lunch, you will drive through the natural wonders of Sintra Natural Park, passing by several impressive palaces until you stop at the Roca Cape cliffs, the westernmost point of Continental Europe. Next, you will enjoy a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast, stopping at the Guincho Beach, a surfer’s paradise. Afterwards, you will pass by Boca do Inferno. Absolutely loved our journey with the tour guide Antonio. He was absolutely hilarious from before we even stepped into his vehicle. He was kind, friendly and accommodating. He went above and beyond what we were expecting. The amount of history, facts, figures and stories he shared with us was amazing and we were more than grateful to have a private tour with Antonio!

The tour and our guide were both excellent. One issue marred the experience however. One couple in our group managed to lose the rest of the group and so hurried through the Pena Palace and took the shuttle bus to the main entrance. We lost valuable time looking for them before sending some of the group in the shuttle to the entrance where they were eventually found. As a result we were unable to walk through Sintra or go back to Lisbon via Cascais. I would recommend that guides give clear directions to the groups to have a meeting up place on the terrace if they become separated from the others. Some of us knew that was the place we would finish the tour of the palace, but it wasn’t made clear to all in the group.
