    4. From Lima: Ballestas Islands & Nazca Lines with Meals

    Wake up early for pick-up from your hotel at 4:30 AM and travel to the Paracas National Reserve. Enjoy a breakfast box on the way there. Board the first boat to Ballestas Islands and admire the scenery of Paracas Bay, keeping an eye out for wildlife like sea lions, seagulls and penguins.  Travel to the aerodrome of Ica and watch an informative video on the history of the Nazca Lines, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Jump on to a Cessna 208 Caravan plane and fly over the ancient geoglyphs, to view them from above. Take pictures of the whale, astronaut, monkey, hummingbird and many more of the geoglyphs. Head to a traditional Peruvian restaurant and choose between a creole or seafood lunch, complemented with drinks.     Lucas was our guide, and was very knowledgeable about many aspects of Lima and its history. The car ride was very long, but we brought movies/books to entertain ourselves. We had a rest stop about an hour of the way in where we bought coffee and ate from the included “box breakfast.” We then continued on to Huacachina to ride the sand buggies and sandboard. After that, we flew over the Nazca lines in a Cessna Grand Caravan which was great except for the 60deg banked turns so everyone can see the lines. Lunch was after that at appx 2pm, and we skipped the wine tasting cause our stomachs were still struggling from the flight. The ride back took about 5 hrs as there was lots of traffic going into Lima. Overall a great experience.

    Alexandra, was waiting outside for us. Cala is a long drive from Lima. Every moment was an adventure. Our guide was so enthusiastic in giving us so much great information and memories. She even met the woman who discovered Cala. She was able to tell us, in every detail, of what discoveries where made. We had a great lunch. I would highly recommend going with Alewandra if it's Cala you want to learn about.

i did the tour with Jordan. He is a fantastic guide ( and a good driver as well), speaks very very good english and provide numerous additional information from just the city center landmarks. He gives insight into peruvian history, current society, food, beverages.. you name it. he is super friendly and careful to each detail and paces the tour so that you can absorb the information. you can ask him anything on any topic- he’ll have the answer.

Alexandra, was waiting outside for us. Cala is a long drive from Lima. Every moment was an adventure. Our guide was so enthusiastic in giving us so much great information and memories. Great mini day trip out of Lima. Our guide, Jordan, made the experience much more exciting. He’s very knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. This tour was well worth it!
