The capital of Peru has a growing reputation as a culinary hotspot and you’ll see why for yourself on this fun day tour of Lima. Take a cooking class, walk through a food market, explore the famous Palacio del Gobierno, learn about the local history, visit the underground catacombs, and more. 

You’ll be picked up from your accommodation in Lima at around 9:30 AM to be taken to one of the local markets. Once there, your guide will showcase the highlights of the market, taking you through and detailing the origins and farming of the produce – most of which is grown locally.

After the walking tour, it’s time for the cooking class. The chef will start with an explanation of the different dishes and drinks you will prepare and help you to make the delicious meal before you enjoy it for yourself! 

From there, you’ll continue the city tour, visiting the center of Lima and the Government Palace, the famous Palacio del Gobierno. You’ll see the main plaza and the many colonial buildings and your guide will teach you all about these historic sights.

Finally, it’s time to visit the famous Saint Francisco Monastery and explore the impressive underground catacombs. After your full day of sights and tastes, you’ll be driven back to your hotel.
