Start the experience with a walking tour through the ivy-covered grounds of the historic Keeneland Race Track, home to the world’s most expensive horse auctions. Next, take a peek into the lifestyle of thoroughbred horses as you go behind the scenes at a thoroughbred farm and get up close and personal with majestic horses. Later, enjoy a drive by the famous Calumet Farm and learn about the history of the farm, which was the home of a breeding and racing dynasty that dominated the sport during the 1940s, 1950s, and beyond. Continue the tour to the filming locations of the major motion pictures Secretariat, Seabiscuit, and Dreamer. Mike, our guide, was exceptional, with an insider’s understanding of Lexington and the horse industry. Though I lived her many years ago, I learned a lot! He had a pleasing personality.
