Berlin Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour: 24 or 48-Hour Ticket
- Duration options: 1 - 2 days
- Optional audio guide
It was useful having the app and being able to see the buses coming and being able to track the bus while you are on it and know when your stop is coming. The B route is different to the one published that is on the website. It is longer and takes in the things that it says but also other things to the north of the centre like Gedenkstatte Berliner Mauer. The commentary is not particularly good and the attempt at humour is very poor and tedious. I turned it off for some sections of the ride.
We has a good time there and could easily spend 4 hours. Yes, it is a bit expensive and it was too crowded as there were many of the play areas we could not access as they were occupied by others and I did have a thought that is this what I paid for! But, in the end what really matters is the kids have fun and my 3 and a half year old daughter did have a ball of time! She really remembers LEGOLAND as the only major thing from our recent Berlin memories and I am happy!
We managed to get through both tours A and B on the one day so we could figure out where to focus on the next day as we had a 48 hr ticket. The buses were good but the constant stopping for breaks (usually smoke breaks by drivers) was annoying. The commentary was only so so and didn’t often match up to where we were. What was good was the frequency.
I had only 1 day in Berlin and in addition to that some mobility constraints due to my health issues. Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour is the easiest way to see the most interesting parts of the city. The tour was accompanied with live comments in English and German. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to see the city but has some time limitations.
Good job of keeping a schedule. Other ones in different cities have been spotty. Informative narrative attempted humor but was corny. Bus was warm and dry on a cold day with showers. Would do again.
