Meet your local tour guide at the Motel Ile d'Orleans, close to the island's bridge. Upon arrival, you'll receive detailed safety introduction and the chance to try the electric bikes in the parking lot. Your small group will follow the guide along the sidewalk of Chemin Royal, as there is no bike path on Ile d'Orleans. The tour is about 20 km and will take about 3 hours, taking you to the island's most beautiful village, St. Petronille. The first stop is the Gosselin farm. You'll taste the famous Strawberries of Ile d'Orleans and learn about local agriculture. You'll then visit the gardens of Charles E. L. Porteous' French manor, built in 1898. Your guide will underline the important role this building played through history. Heading further, you'll reach St.Petronille with its picturesque streets. At the Chocolaterie, in the village's heart, take a break from cycling and stroll on the St.Lawrence River's banks instead, enjoying the fantastic view of Quebec's skyline and ice cream dipped in home-made chocolate! Back on the bikes, take advantage of the powerful engine getting on top of the street, where the St. Petronille winery is waiting for you. Here, you can taste some of the island's best wines. On the way back, we'll enjoy beautiful perspectives of the St. Lawrence River and the Montmorency waterfalls. Be sure to take plenty of faboulous pictures. You'll leave beautiful Ile d'Orleans with great memories of an active day.
